For winter 22/23 we are excited to expand our shop's offerings with programming for those of you who, like us, never stop thinking about bikes. We are excited to introduce two courses that will take place outside of store hours so you can get the full experience and attention of our staff in a small group setting. Both of these courses are open to cyclists of all skill and enthusiasm levels; no previous experience required! They will be suited towards all types of cycling whether you're a road rider, mountain biker or anywhere in between.
We are proud to offer both of these courses in general admission dates as well as specific dates for groups (women, LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC) who may face barriers in what can be known as a male dominated industry, and who want a fun, more inclusive space to learn.
The Bike Basics course is designed to teach the “everyday” knowledge all cyclists should have. Whether it’s pumping up your tires after a winter of the bike sitting in the garage or sorting yourself out trailside after a crash, this course is for everyone. We will go over how to change a tire, lube your chain, do a general safety check, clean your bike and more. We will also discuss tools and equipment all riders should have at home and on the trail. (60 minutes)
Learn how to work on the essential systems of your bike in the shop with a mechanic on hand to show you the ropes. In this course you will get to service your own bike to know it well! We do however ask that a week prior to the course you bring your bike by the store so we can insure we have any small parts that may be needed during the course. Course participants will receive 20% off all parts replaced as part of the course. (2.5 Hours)
