What is a "waxless" ski and what is Skintec?

Simply put: a waxless ski isn't truly waxless cross country ski (more on that shortly) but uses an underfoot feature to remove the use of a kick wax.  Skintec skis use a replaceable Mohair skin in place of a kick wax or fish scale to deliver excellent grip or glide when needed.  The fibers in the skin grip directionally when pressure is applied to the ski but then glide effortlessly when slid across the snow.  Skintec skins are universal for all snow conditions and temperatures and are easy to care for and clean.

About that waxless part... A glide wax is still needed on the tip and tail of the ski to keep you gliding well and this is applied every few times out or if there is a change in conditions.  This is a simple to use, direct application product that requires no fancy set up or waxing iron.
