The new Garmin Edge 530 allows you to take your training to the next level. It does not only collects your data, it provides dynamic performance that can help you beat your best. It gives you insights on your VO2 max, recovery, training load focus, heat and altitude acclimation, nutrition, hydration and more when paired with compatible sensors. It tekks you if you most recent training was balanced in terms of endurance, threshold and high-intensity efforts. When paired with compatible sensors, Edge 530 now displays your power curve, comparing your ride effort to your previous weeks and months.

It also allows you to ride with confidence since it allows group messaging and tracking when used with compatible applications. The incident detection sends your location to your emergency contacts, and the new PIN-protected bike alarm will notify you on your smartphone if your bike is moved while you’re inside getting water or making a pit stop. You can also pair it with Garmin Varia rearview radar and lights for more safety.

Plus, the turn by turn navigation notify you of upcoming turns and the popularity routing chooses from the roads and trails most traveled by fellow cyclists to help you ride like a local. If you want to wander off the road, it can guide you back to your route, or back to the start, thanks to the route calculation that is now 2 times faster, so you do not have to wait around.

You can now also climb like a pro with Garmin Edge 530 new feature that automatically shows the remaining ascent and grade you're climbing while following a route. That helps you gauge your effort over the remainder of your ride.

You can pair it with your eBike with Shimano Steps and receive a dedicated status screen, data fields and support for system status and warning messages. In addition to Edge metrics — such as time, distance and speed — you can also view your assist level, gear position, battery life and remaining range during a ride.

Still not convinced? Garmin is the only one that lets you customize your device with free apps, widgets and data fields. For example, AccuWeather MinuteCast lets you know when the rain will stop so you can determine the ideal time slot for your ride and Yelp helps you locate a nearby café, bike shop, etc. Other apps such as Strava, Komoot or Wikiloc lets you import your favorite routes directly to your Edge.
